Children’s University Graduation

On Wednesday 3rd April, we were honoured to receive over 100 parents and families to celebrate with us at the Children’s University Graduation. We were delighted to welcome the Deputy Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Terry Piccolo, to join us in presenting the awards.

It was mentioned that we have one of the highest number of graduates for a secondary school, which is a warming testimony to the efforts our students and families go to, ensuring that success and learning is not just taking place in the classroom.

The life skills gained from taking part in activities which give students ‘CU’ hours and are signed off in their Children’s University passports will add invaluable character traits and resilience. These attributes make all the difference to the health, happiness and well- roundedness to students as individuals, so are extremely important.

We would like to thank the students for all of their hard work and determination. Some have gained more than 30 hours, others 100 hours and in some cases more than 300 hours of activities! Thank you also to the parents and families who ensure students attend every week while having the correct equipment and uniform needed to be successful.
