On Wednesday 17th January, six students from Year 9 and six from Year 10 attended Cambridge University to participate in The Brilliant Club. The Brilliant Club is a scholars programme for students to have a greater chance to enrol within the top 30 universities, around the country.
Our day consisted of a tour around the university and Clare college. We were also able to ask questions about university life. We viewed the library which contains every single published book (in Britain). Later we met our PHD tutor who will help us write our final essay based on genetically modified crops. This is an amazing experience in which we cannot wait to continue and finally graduate in the scholars programme.

It gives me great pleasure to congratulate students in Year 12 who participated in The Brilliant Club. Their PhD tutor was very impressed with the work they produced and they achieved outstanding grades for their dissertations, with 5 students achieving a 1st class honours. Students will be celebrating their success at Kings College London with a graduation on 17th February.
