Three times per year, parents will receive a Progress Report. This is a record of their child’s academic achievements and progress in each subject.
Target Setting and Review
Parents have the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress with tutors and set targets for the coming term at the Whole School Target Setting & Review Days, which occur in June each year.
In addition to Progress Reports and Target Setting and Review Days, Parents’ Evenings are arranged throughout the year. Each year group will have at least one Parents’ Evening per year. Students in Year 9 who are preparing to take their ‘options’ for GCSE and other Key Stage 4 subjects will have a Parents’ Evening held in February.
Consultation Evenings and Target Setting and Review Days are frequently attended by local colleges and establishments of tertiary education. It is common to see representatives of Palmer’s College, South Essex College and the Thurrock Learning Campus in attendance at these events.
