ITT Induction Programme
The weekly ITT Induction Programme workshops at The Ockendon Academy take place on Thursday evenings throughout the academic year. The workshops focus on generic teaching and professional skills relating to the standards set out by the TDA under their statutory guidance (QTS Standards).
As well as providing carefully structured activities and presentations which support ITT students towards the acquisition of important skills, the workshops also enable trainee teachers to discuss the many issues that arise during the year which they may not find time to disseminate during the very busy school day.
The themes for each workshop are published a year in advance throughout all schools in the local area and trainees from any establishment are welcome to attend.
The Induction Programme is run jointly between The Ockendon Academy and St.Clere’s School, Stanford-le-Hope.
Sessions begin at 15.45 and last for about an hour.
