The Academy has excellent facilities.  Each specialist subject area has its own suite of rooms.  There are carpeted, fully equipped sets of classrooms for English, Mathematics, History, Geography, Religious Education and Modern Languages.  The Technology Centre has three workshops, a design studio, two art rooms, two food technology and two textiles rooms.  In addition to five science laboratories, there is a drama studio, a large resources area, a music room, eight practice rooms and four fully equipped suites for Information Technology.  The academy has just completed an exciting £7 million re-development including a new hall, a fitness suite and new changing rooms for the swimming pool.

In the area of Physical Education and Sport the academy has unrivalled facilities, with a large sports hall suitable for badminton, basketball, indoor cricket, short tennis and many other games.  We also have a well-equipped fitness suite and two squash courts.  The academy is very fortunate to have its own heated indoor swimming pool that has recently undergone a £400,000 face lift.  All these facilities are set within eleven and a half acres of playing fields. 

We are justly proud of our site and buildings.  The front of the academy has been expanded this year to improve the Reception area and increase the office space available, providing a comfortable, clean, light and airy working environment, which is treated with respect by students and staff.  The classrooms above have also benefited from the increase in size and are now even more spacious.
